And…the categories for our 2016-2017 Contest!
We had a record number of entries in our 2016 contest, held on Facebook for the first time. With 69 photographers entering 197 images, our judges (Jennifer Williams, Judy Winslow, Peter Stephenson and Lois Tokarz) had a tough time. But here they are – our winning entries. Deadline for entries is Monday, May 1, 2017 at 5:00 p.m., HOWEVER…you may enter your photos throughout the year by posting them to our Facebook page and submitting the entry form.
We’re also going social again this year! ALL entries must be submitted as a comment on the timeline of our Facebook page – Visit Smithfield VA – and an entry form must be submitted for each photo.
We will be awarding cash prizes again (amounts to be determined at a later date).
All awards will be announced at our National Tourism Month Breakfast at the Smithfield Center in May of 2017 (date to be announced). All photographers who have submitted an entry are invited to the breakfast. The grand prize winning entry, with photo credit, will be featured on one of our promotional pieces.
