Join us this Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the 100 block of Main Street & the Bank of Southside Virginia parking lot in Downtown Smithfield.

Isle of Wight County Museum presents “Monster Matinee,” 1:00 p.m. at the museum, 103 Main Street in downtown Smithfield. Mike Holtzclaw, the Daily Press’ very own Roger Ebert, will regale you with clips and trivia about classic Cold War-era monster movies…Attack of the Crab Monsters, Deadly Mantis, It! and Plan 9 from Outer Space….this will be an afternoon of popcorn, levity and adventure as we give a thumbs up or thumbs down to important and scary moments in film history.For further information call 757.356.1223.
